Constanze von Oertzen was born in Germany in the city of Hamburg and has lived in São Paulo for 35 years. She began to study acting, dance and singing at Herbert Berghof Studio and Broadway Dance Center in New York between 1987/88. She graduated as a Hotel Manager in Munich, Germany, in 1986, and specialized in Hospitality Management at Cornell University in New York, United States.

 

In 2008 she participated in the musical “Noturno” by Oswaldo Montenegro at the Oficina dos Menestréis. In 2009 she started the First Court course, at the Fátima Toledo cinema preparation center, which she concluded with the filming of the short film “Tempo de Morfina”. In 2010 she worked in the feature film “Cara ou Coroa” by Ugo Giorgetti and in the play “Filhos do Brasil” at Teatro Dias Gomes, directed by Oswaldo Montenegro.

 

She graduated as an actress in "Artes Cênicas” at Teatro Escola Célia Helena in December 2012, playing Claire Zahanassian in the play “The visit of the old lady” by Friedrich Dürrenmatt, directed by Ednaldo Freire in 2012. She also was part of several scenic plays such as “The House of Bernarda Alba","Father against mother” and "Feather and the storm".

 

In 2013 she recorded the feature film “Profit above life” directed by Nic Nilson and acted in the short film “Zombie - A Origin”, an institutional film against drugs, directed by Rodrigo and Quico Meirelles. In 2018 she worked with Claudio Borrelli in the film "Urubus" and in 2019 she recorded the short film “Maria Inês” with director José Jacob. 

 

She was part of the nucleus of actors' practice at the Inspiratorium Film School, starting in the beginning of 2015 through December 2016, and has been studying at the Anacã Dance School since June 2014.

 

She performed in the HBO series “PSI” in 2016 directed by Max Calligari and “Vade Retro”, directed by Mauro Mendonça Filho. In 2017 she participated in the “13 days away from the sun”, directed by Luciano Moura da Globo in a co-production of O2. She acted in the series “The American Guest” HBO in 2018 with direction by Bruno Barreto. In 2019 she acted in the Netflix series "Nobody's watching", directed by Daniel Rezende, and also in Netflix's "The Conquest", directed by Carl Erich Rinsch. In 2023 she acted in the Disney+ series "How to be a carioca" written and directed by Carlos Saldanha and Joana Mariani. In 2024 she acted as the main character in the short movie "Meteoro" directed by Nara Sakarê.
